Hood Warfare 2: Xbox & Steam Deck

Windows on Steam is confirmed. Console plans and Steam Deck playability still need a game-specific official confirmation.

Which platform can play Hood Warfare 2 now?

The official Hood Warfare 2 Steam listing sells a Windows PC version and publishes Windows 10 and 11 system requirements. As of our October 15 check, we found no official announcement of an Xbox or PlayStation release. That tells you what is confirmed today; it does not rule out a future port.

Platform What we can confirm What to do
Windows PC Released on Steam; check the published requirements Use the official listing for your region’s current price and availability
Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One No console release confirmed in the sources checked Wait for a developer announcement or an official Xbox store listing
PlayStation 5 / PlayStation 4 No console release confirmed in the sources checked Wait for a developer announcement or an official PlayStation store listing
Mac or native Linux Steam publishes Windows requirements, not a Mac or Linux build Do not assume a native version is included with the PC purchase
Steam Deck No game-specific Verified or Playable rating confirmed from the Steam listing we checked Read the current Steam Deck compatibility panel before buying for Deck

Is Hood Warfare 2 on Xbox or PlayStation?

We cannot confirm an Xbox or PlayStation version. The game’s Steam page identifies Windows as its PC operating system, and the developer’s published description does not announce a console port or date. A video of someone playing with an Xbox controller on a Windows PC would show a PC input device, not an Xbox console build. A console release needs its own announcement or official store listing.

The same distinction applies to crossplay. Steam describes online play with friends, but its listing does not establish cross-platform matchmaking. With no confirmed console version, we cannot give console crossplay instructions or a release date.

Does Hood Warfare 2 work on Steam Deck?

Treat Deck support as unconfirmed. We could not verify a game-specific Verified or Playable rating on the public Steam listing at this check. Valve explains its Deck ratings: Unknown means Valve has not checked a game yet, while Playable and Verified follow a compatibility review. An unknown or missing rating is not a verdict that the game fails.

There is also a technical reason to check the live status rather than guessing: the Steam listing names Easy Anti-Cheat as kernel-level anti-cheat software. Valve says its Deck review considers whether a game’s system software, including anti-cheat, works through Proton. The listing alone does not tell us whether this game’s online matches work on Deck.

In a Steam community discussion, one player said the game worked on Deck, but gave no device settings, game mode, or sustained online test. That firsthand report is a lead, not a guarantee. If Deck is your only gaming device, check the game’s compatibility panel inside Steam on your Deck, recent detailed reports, and the current Steam refund rules before purchasing. We have not tested the game on Deck ourselves.

Does controller support mean an Xbox release?

No. SteamDB’s mirror of Steam app metadata records Full Controller Support for the PC app. That label concerns controller input in a PC game; it does not identify which Xbox or PlayStation controller models have been tested, promise equal button prompts for every device, certify Steam Deck performance, or announce a console edition. The store also has a user-supplied Controller tag, which is not a substitute for a platform release announcement.

If you plan to use a controller on Windows, check the live Steam feature list for the specific device type and test the game’s menus and a match on your own setup. If you need a guaranteed console or Deck experience, wait for platform-specific evidence rather than relying on a PC controller label.
